    Hi,

    please include the logs from /var/log/syslog when you try to start the plugins.

    many thanks, have a nice day and enjoy openQRM 5.0,

    Hi Matt Rechenburg,
          When I finished setup openQRM,first step is to enable and start the following plug-ins:
          cloud--------------------->can't be started
          dhcpd--------------------->started
          image-shelf--------------->can't be started
          kvm----------------------->started
          lvm-storage--------------->started
          tftpd----------------------->started

    How to do"include the logs from /var/log/syslog when you try to start the plugins"?
    Thanks,best wish!

    Hey qinlingganquan,

    go to /usr/share/openqrm/plugins//etc/init.d

    - rename the script  openqrm-plugin- to openqrm-plugin--wrapped
    - make a new file openqrm-plugin-
    - chmod 777 openqrm-plugin-
    - fill the new script with this content: http://pastebin.com/dAK3qbuc

    /usr/share/openqrm/plugins//log will be created with two logfiles! one for stderr and on for stdout. it wraps the original control script to add logging functionality.

    but i think this is not necessary. because cloud need DNS-plugin to be enabled (just enable it!!!!! do not start it, its doin bullshit!)  see /usr/share/openqrm/plugins/cloud/etc/openqrm-plugin-cloud.conf :

    # openQRM plugin-dependencies - the following plugins must be enabled
    OPENQRM_PLUGIN_PLUGIN_DEPENDENCIES="dhcpd, tftpd, dns"

    same with image-shelf i think. it needs nfs-storage! see /usr/share/openqrm/plugins/image-shelf/etc/openqrm-plugin-image-shelf.conf :

    # openQRM plugin-dependencies - the following plugins must be enabled
    OPENQRM_PLUGIN_PLUGIN_DEPENDENCIES="nfs-storage, lvm-storage"

    "How to do"include the logs from /var/log/syslog when you try to start the plugins"? "

    run 'cat /var/log/syslog' in a shell and copy the output…

    have a nice day and hate openQRM 5.0,

    Hi again qinlingganquan,

    you can uninstall openQRM with "make uninstall" in the src/ dir.

    Manual creating logical volumes is fine. openQRM addtional adds them to e.g. NFS, iSCSI, AOE etc. according to the storage plugin you are using.

    btw: still do not understand why you cannot start some plugins. Any logfiles available to help you ?

    many thanks, have a nice day and enjoy openQRM 5.0,
