I'd like to discuss this. What behavior would you expect?
Would you please subscribe to the mailing list. For me, it's much more convenient than tis web interface.
    Subscription page is here:

    https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/opennx-devel

You can find a short description of the subscription process in the wiki:
    https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/opennx/index.php?title=Help:Contents

After being subscribed, you will get any mail that somebody (e.g. me) writes to the list copied to your mail address. You write to the list by sending mail to opennx-devel@lists.sourceforge.net. The list distributes your mail to all other subscribers. The list also distributes info about all tracker activities. You can unsubscribe at any time, using the same subscription page.

    Regarding the feature request:
I think i understand. This is not trivial however - i will see what I can do.

I suggest using one of existent profiles if no one is specified.

Implemented in SVN rev 581 (available shortly)
Slightly different than in your suggestion: Login dialog is shown, but without preselecting any session.
