I have thought about it, and I have read about it, it's just that for my 
purposes I have yet to get into a position where the I/O has outweighed 
the need to know that the thing wont be backed up relaibly and it's 6000 
miles away.

It's not ideal and im sure that the crossover point between the comfort 
and the I/O bottle neck is well and truly below what the need is once 
you get into some of what the people on here speak of, with interface 
count at 2^14 and upwards. Most of my installs are in the low hundreds 
range, and I haven't seen any complication from it yet.
