Since everything else on the system is compiled as 64 bit, I would like to avoid having some things as 32 bit. Also, as far as I know, IA64 is not compatible with AMD64, am I wrong about that? Sun does offer AMD64 support in the java 1.5.0 release candidate, so I may give that a try. Also, it looks like blackdown offers 1.4.2 with AMD64 support. Would there be any problems using 1.5.0? Thanks you for your help. Rob Campbell System Administrator Tyler Technologies DJ Gregor writes: > Ah, okay. If you choose the "Download J2SE > SDK" link at the URL below, you'll see a download option for "Linux IA64 > Platform". > > http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.4.2/download.html > > 3) Use a 32 bit version of SuSE. > > > > - djg > |
