If you are n a LAN you should be able to get links. did you make any chages to linkd-configuration.xml? It is a good point to start customizing the link discovery. First create a package with only your router DG and a switch. Be sure SNMP is enabled on both. Then enable linkd only for them (comment example1 package and customize LAN package). Let me know what happens. In the node page you find the genral box with the link to a page with link information.
