    Hi,
I am trying to find read up on opennlp but the main site seems to have a lot of broken links:

    https://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/opennlp/index.php?title=Main_Page

Where is a good place for me to read up on opennlp.

I am particuarly intersted in learning how to train a model.

    Cheers

    Paul

We decided to release the 1.5 version and write the documentation afterwards on
the wiki page you mentioned. There shouldn't be any broken links, maybe the
server was just slow, try again.

Which components do you plan to use ? I will focus my documentation writing effort
for now on the Name Finder, Tokenizer and Sentence Detector.

    Hi,

Thank you for the reply.  Writing documentation after the fact makes a lot of sense to me.

I came across opennlp after finding no other NLP framework which is remotely as mature, useful or powerful as opennlp in ruby.  This has pushed me down the JRuby route.

The classes you mentioned are my initial goal and I am very interested in knowing how to train my own models.  I am currently going through the SentenceDetectorMETest for some guidance.

I want to work towards creating a JRuby gem or plugin around opennlp and putting it on github.
