Category: General/misc Group: None >Status: Closed Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Manuel Bilderbeek (manuelbi) Assigned to: Wouter Vermaelen (m9710797) Summary: New persistant directories created for every run-time switch Initial Comment: When switching machines at run time (e.g. with the new Catapult), a new peristent directory is created for every switch. So, when switching like this: A -> B -> A -> B -> A -> B -> A, you end up with ~/.openMSX/persistent/A/untitled1 ~/.openMSX/persistent/B/untitled1 ~/.openMSX/persistent/A/untitled2 ~/.openMSX/persistent/B/untitled2 ~/.openMSX/persistent/A/untitled3 ~/.openMSX/persistent/B/untitled3 ~/.openMSX/persistent/A/untitled4 So, you keep getting new persistant data. There is no way to select the old data (except by restarting openMSX) and there is no way to indicate that you want to reuse the old data in the same session. IMHO, as we don't have anything to manage these sessions, we should just reuse older sessions, unless they are locked or something. So a locking mechanism could be introduced. Or maybe you have a better idea :) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Wouter Vermaelen (m9710797) Date: 2007-07-28 12:57 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=356949 Originator: NO The following scenario also went wrong: insert/remove the fmpac extension (any extension with persistent data) a few times for every iteration there was a new untitled<N> directory created Both scenario's are fixed now. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=421861&aid=1622018&group_id=38274 |
