I've installed the openmosix precompiled 2.4.16
kernel on a i686 and a i386 systems (running
Redhat 7.1 and 7.2) including the userland tools
via RPM.
I've edited both /etc/mosix.map adding the
following lines:

1 127.0.0.1 1
2 192.168.100.1 2

Since w/o the 127.0.0.1 line OpenMosix doesn't
want to start ; the two machine are 192.168.100.1
and 192.168.100.2, connected via ethernet.
I can ping and access both machine via network.

Launching Openmosix on both machine, using
mosmon or mosctl status I see the other party as
"down", but when trying on node "1", openmosix
on both is up!

What can I do ?

You have a bad tcp/ip configuration. You should be able to
access your first machine through a 192.168. style IP
    address.
