#7 openmosix doesn't work with serial-ata harddisks

Trying to install openmosix on a computer with
serial-ata harddisk returns this error:

No module sata_sil found for kernel 2.4.22-openmosix3,
aborting.
mkinitrd failed

    I assume you are having this problem when using the kernel
    rpms? You should be able to download the kernel source, and
    use the .config from a kernel that does work for you, and
    then do a "make oldconfig".

    Additionally you can try compiling all modules required for
    booting into the kernel and do away with the initrd
    altogether.

    Forwarding the bug to Kris to consider adding this module to
    be compiled in to the future binary kernel rpms.

    Afaik, serial ata support will only enter the vanilla 2.4
    three in 2.4.27.

    Could this be because there is no SATA support in 2.4.22?
