Sometimes I'd like just to use my Hantek as a DVMM, freq counter, etc without worrying about the actual traces. It would be nice if we could get digital readouts in nice large numbers (so I don't have to be right by the monitor) of the DC/AC (rms avg & peek for spikes) components along with frequency simultaneously from both channels would be a useful option
I know dumbing down the data at a glance doesn't sound right, but if I'm already using a scope on it, sometimes it would be nice to just switch to being a smart meter on the data it's gathering while I'm probing around. The large display would be great for seeing the information at a glance, and then I can switch back to scope mode when we want to see more detail.
Think about other things you could do for instrumentation as well that even then normal Hantek scope s/w doesn't do or doesn't do well also!
This would need autosetting of vertical scaling and so on, could probably be done if those depedencies are implemented anyway. A real multimeter would give you much better results though (Higher resolution and so on).
