The solution is to use a GnuGK Nat aware client. GnuGK has a very good NAT assist feature to assist in traversing NATs, it is mainly used for GK-GK traversal, For just a client behind a NAT you will need a special client to be able to send and receive calls from behind a NAT box with GnuGK. How it works: The GnuGK signals the NATed EP that it is behind a NAT and the NAT'd EP opens a signalling port to GnuGK for which to receive call signalling, Once a incoming call is received it is sent through the signaling port and the NAT'd EP then sends out 2 UDP ports to the GnuGK. I recently included such support into a windows softphone, PacPhone (www.pacphone.com) and it works rather well. Note: It is a system tray application, click on the icon in the system tray (bottom right) to bring up the dialer. right click to bring up the menu. also it does take a few seconds to load so be patient :). There is absolutely no special settings required, it is completely automatic. I have also added the baseline support to OpenH323 and hopefully will get some time to add it to MyPhone in the coming months when I relaunch the project. If anyone have any questions, let me know off list.
