      Hi Panuwat,
Yes, OpenGTS does run on Windows XP.  Using Cygwin (www.cygwin.com)
on Windows does make administration easier, but it is not required.

    • I don't know how it works in the Windows XP, but in the unix and linux must be created track.war .
Are you create track.war? If yes. You must use http://yourdomain/track/Track or http://localhost/track/Track .

      Hi Panuwat,
This first thing I noticed is that you have an old version of OpenGTS (the latest is v1.8.4).
If you are trying to start the OpenGTS server, you will need to deploy the 'track.war'
file into Tomcat, as Anatoly suggested.
The OpenDMTP server is a client/server protocol used to transmit information (GPS, etc)
from a remote client to the server.  As indicated by the images you've provided, it
appears that you are attempting to start the OpenDMTP server (which is also provided
with OpenGTS).  To test the OpenDMTP server you will need an OpenDMTP compliant device.
You can download the 'C' reference implementation of OpenDMTP from SourceForge and
compile it to run on Windows (under Cygwin) to be able to send data to the OpenDMTP
server provided with OpenGTS.  Then when the OpenGTS 'track.war' file has been installed
you will be able to see the collected points in your browser on a map.
      Best Regards,
      - Martin

      Hi Panuwat,
In the Changelogg for v1.7.0, and in the OpenGTS_Config.pdf document, section 2.1 "Prerequisites",
it mentions that Java 5 is now required to compile OpenGTS.  Please upgrade to the Java 5 to compile
      the OpenGTS system.
      Best Regards,

      Hi Panuwat,
      Taking the images in order:
      1) [img242] It looks like it is running, but when using the Perl startup script, it is
expecting that the commands 'pwd' and 'uname' also be available.  I would recommend
either running the Perl script under Cygwin, or instead us the 'runserver.bat' command.
      2) [img102] The OpenDMTP server is not intended to be viewed in a web browser.
      3) [img440] As stated in the error message, you have 2 copies of the OpenDMTP server
running and the second server is attempting to open a port that is already being used
by the first running OpenDMTP server.
      Regards,
      - Martin

    • Hello All User.

1.How to set the OpenDMTP server has intended to be viewed in a web browser?
      2.่If I don't want use Cygwin?
      3.The OpenGTS must install the OpenDMTP , events.war , mologogo.war , and track.war?

      Thank you.

      Hi Panuwat,
OpenDMTP is a client/server protocol, intended for communication between a
remote client GPS tracking device and a server (the data isn't intended to be
human readable).  The OpenDMTP server's job is to place the received data from
the client device into a database where OpenGTS takes over to allow a user to
view the data in a web browser.
Cygwin isn't required, but if not using Cygwin, then the .bat file commands
      are recommended on Windows platforms.
It depends entirely on what you are trying to accomplish, but for OpenGTS,
      typically only 'track.war' is required.
      Best Regards,
      - Martin

      Hi Panuwat,
In the OpenGTS_Config.pdf document, section 3b indicates that when using '.bat' files on
Windows, the options "-rootUser=user" must be specified in quotes, or must be specified
      with a ':' instead of a '=' ad -rootUser:user
      Best Regards,
      - Martin

    • Thank you for answer
change "=" to ":" but setting "dbadmin.bat" is not running.
      It's show me :

      C:\opt\opengts_1.9.0\bin>dbadmin.bat -createdb -user:root
'dbadmin.bat' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
      operable program or batch file.

      Please help me.

      Hi Panuwat,
There is no "dbadmin.bat", only "dbAdmin.pl" (for Linux, and Cygwin installations). However
there is a "dbConfig.bat" which provides a subset of the functionality of 'dbAdmin.pl".
I would still sugggest that you run 'bin\initdb.bat' to initialize the database for you.
      Regards,
      - Martin

SQLException message: Invalid authorization sp cification: Access denied for user 'gts'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

The error is from MySQL. It is saying that the mysql user "gts", connecting from "localhost" (the same computer that mysql is running on) does not have access to the database and/or tables that it is trying to get access to. Check in MySQL that user gts, when it connects from localhost has the proper access to the gts database/tables.

If you don't understand what I am talking about, or don't know how to do this, then you should get an intro to MySQL book, or find a website that will teach you how to administer MySQL :)
