Feng Office development team announces the release of version 1.7.3.1.

This new version is mostly a bug fixing release with a couple of minor features.

Feng Office development team announces the release of Feng Office Collaboration Platform version 1.7.0. Feng Office latest version includes more than a hundred bug fixes and lots of usability improvements and new features.

Feng Onsite 1.7.0 is available for download here. Feng Sky installations will be gradually updated starting today, and ending on ten days approximately. In case you encounter any issues with the new version, please report them on the support ticketing system or directly on the bug tracking system. - A new "Latest activity" widget in dashboard that shows the latest activity for the current workspace.
- Export reports to CSV (that you can import in external programs like Excel) or PDF.
- Improved email experience. Operations are now snappier and performance has been improved. The listing is now refreshed automatically.
- Added Guest users. Invite someone to your installation with read-only access.
- Added support for LDAP.
- Added a 5-day view for the calendar.
- More information is logged now, like user accesses to an object, so that you can know whether the user has seen the object.

This is the first beta release towards version 1.6 final. The most important changes for this version are:

- Archive objects and workspaces.
When you no longer need an object or workspace you can archive it to remove it from your every day views, while it still is searchable and accessible through the "Archived Objects" workspace.
- Mark as read/unread for all types of objects.
Until now the read/unread functionality was only available for emails. Now it is also available for all other types of content objects. If an object was modified since your last view it will be marked in bold for you to quickly notice that it has changes. Once you view the object it will be marked as read.
- Tons of improvements to the email module.
- Share mail accounts among several users. This allows several users to read or write email from one common email account.
- Assign a workspace to a mail account to automatically classify email to that workspace.
- Group emails into conversations. Quickly access an email's replies or original message from the email's view.
- Attach files directly from your computer when writing an email.
- Send other emails as attachments. Just attach an email and mark the "Attach contents" checkbox.
- Email Junk folder. Mail classified as spam by your mail server is sent to the "Junk" folder. You will need a SPAM filter in your email server.
- Emails are sent asynchronously. You can continue working on OpenGoo while an email is being sent. Useful if sending email through a slow remote SMTP server.
- Create task from email. Shortcut action to quickly create a task from a classified email.
- Insert inline images into OpenGoo emails.
- Pre-configurations for known emails (GMail, Hotmail, Yahoo) when setting up an email account. Just type your email account and most of the fields are automatically filled.
- Upgraded the document editor.
- Improved loading times. The new version loads much faster on all browsers.
- Improved cross-browser compatibility.
- Improved functionality. Insert images into a document, from the computer or from OpenGoo.
- Lots of other improvements.
- Improved workspace permissions edition.
- Events can now span more than one day.
- Basic editing concurrency. A user is warned if an object being edited was edited by someone else.
- Improved password recovery procedure.
- Option to autodetect timezone.
- VCard contacts importing.
- Filter the Object Picker (the popup control to pick objects when linking) by text.

- Fixed file uploads on Opera 10.

OpenGoo 1.5.1 has just been released. Several bugs from version 1.5 were fixed for this release, including:

- Tags permissions. Now a user can only see tags applied to objects that the user can view.
- Some milestones were showing in wrong workspaces.
- Custom properties defined in Administration are now searchable.
- Memory exhausted error when rendering repetitive tasks with an old date in the calendar.
- Fatal error when copying a milestone.
- Fatal error "undefined function saveFileAttributes" when uploading a file.
- Fixed the permissions control when editing a workspace's permissions.
- Fixed a small rendering problem with invited users in event edition.
- Fixed error when sending emails to empty recipients.
- Fixed default user preferences' rendered value.
- Fixed a rendering problem in comments and descriptions that would skip a character before an email address or link.
- Tags query was using a hardcoded 'og_' table prefix.
- Translate OpenGoo tool now includes subfolders of language folders. Checklang also improved.
- Files of type audio/mp3 are now correctly identified as MP3.

We have released an upgrade patch that fixes some issues when upgrading to 1.5 RC from version 1.4.2. Just extract the zip file into your OpenGoo installation after extracting version 1.5 RC.

Lots of bugs have been fixed for this release and a few features have been added.

What has been improved:
- Drag and drop now doesn’t require that you select rows before dragging, and an icon was added to make it easier to know where to drag a row.
- Added permissions to access the time module
- Added a checkbox next to milestone and workspace selection in tasks, to apply the selection to all subtasks
- Fixed delete from server after X days (only delete fetched emails older than x days)
- Fixed error when downloading revisions
- Contact’s workspaces were not being shown
- Dashboard - view as list was not listing documents
- Fixed errors when using PDO Backend
- Event email reminders were not being sent
- Events that end at or after midnight were not being drawn correctly (week and day view)
- Problems with group permissions (workspaces didn’t load and object listings didn’t list files in group workspaces)
