    Hello, x-flow.

       I find there are two figures with streamline on screenshots page of this forum.  in my simulation, I have enabled "Write stream function", but when it is loaded into Gmsh, I can't see stream line as you did.  so could  you please  give me a hint of how to plot stream line in Gmsh ?

      Regards,

    If recall correctly first you enable "streamline function" and then you slice the geometry using one of gmsh's cut plugins. Then you can change the colors in gmsh to present a single color.
    Go to the examples directly and look for .scr files they are gmsh script files which show many things you can automate and do with gmsh. There might be an example on how to do this.
    If you send me your example, maybe I can help you further on this matter.

    Hi,
    thank you for your quick reply.

    I tried the *.scr file from the tutorial page, unfortunately, I still don't know how to plot the streamline.
    which file you need to create streamline?

    Regards,

    Follow these steps:
    1. Use lid example,
    2. Enable write stream function,
    3. Open lid.pos in gmsh,
    4. Cut the stream view using gmsh cutplane plugin,
    5. In gmsh options choose General->Intervals type = Iso-values

    You should be able to see the stream line.
