I just committed code to run libS52.so on my Xoom (Android - Team Tiamat/EOS ROM).
The code is base on ancient S52 specs (12 years old).
The specs S52/S57 have been replace by S100/S101 and should be published any time now ..
(well, that's what I gather form IHO announcement .. 4 years ago) .
All in all my code might be of interest to historian or researcher ..
The code is at the same place in 'contrib/S52' in OpenEV CVS.
It might also provide inspiration for the courageous that would like to port
OpenEV / OpenEV2 to Android.
Now the folder contrib/S52 is a bit heavy (100M) because of all the cross-compiled lib for ARM that
libS52 depend on (gdal, proj, glib, ...). If this turn out to be a problem let me know.
Also the code is programmer dog food quality ..
Memory foot print is stable for a long running process (3 days) thought.
As Frank once told me to not to wait for the code to be finish before committing
So the code is already broken somewhere .. fell free to break it some more
The make target 's52eglx' is used for testing S52/EGL/GLES2 on Linux
the target 's52eglarm' build and install s52android on the device
Some path need to be adjusted
