Can someone explain to me the difference and purpose of Date, Post date, and Deposit Date in the payment module. I noticed that the cash reports use Deposit date as the date the payment was received. Thanks - W.
Date = date check issued by insurer.
Post Date = date your staff entered the payment.
Deposit Date = date your staff put the payment in the financial institution.
Posting payment from Billing Manager, EOB's requires just one date; but Batch Payment requires all 3. Having the dates helps in the search for a particular remittance should that become necessary in the future.
