I'm not sure if the behavior of (odcl_Html_GetOffline) is a bug or by design. It seems to be returning a local setting for the control that ignores the global internet explorer setting. If you call (odcl_Html_SetOffline 1), then (odcl_Html_GetOffline) returns T -- however the setting has no apparent effect on the control. The fact that the setting is stored and returned correctly rules out a disconnection between the calling code and the control. I think this could have something to do with browser security settings. I checked some completely unrelated code that also uses the WebBrowser2 interface, and I got exactly the same results.

Has anyone used these functions in the past and seen them behave as expected? Which version of IE?

Unfortunately this looks to be a difficult problem to solve, so I am marking this one as postponed and I'll revisit it later. :)

    And what about c:HTML_Dcl1_Html_OnNavigationComplete?

Leave it open, it's not resolved. It may never be resolved, but I haven't given up hope yet. :)
