I using openbts + usrp + duplexer + OCXO solution to build a private
network. after many cellphone register to the network the channel
become not enough to support the transaction, but in theory the
channel should be enough. So I dig into the source and finaly find the
cause of channel not enough is there are too many frame error rate
that grab the channel for too long. for example the proper location
update transaction cost about 2~3s but actually it usually cost 10s
even 20s. and SMS transaction should be finished in 6s but actually it
usually cost more than 20s. Anyone have such experience and what
should I do?
Regarding too many frame error rate, what s/w load are you running?
What measure do you use to determine too many frame error rate?
Assume you are using 52Mhz OCXO, some OCXO questions:
- is it sine wave or square wave?
- frequency stability?
- phase noise figures?
BTW, is there any LNA in your uplink, any technical info for that LNA?
