David, I have been able to get the Nokia 6600 (a Symbian/Nokia S60 based phone) into field test mode using an application found on the Internet. The firmware support for field test mode is included with this phone which is not the case with newer Nokia phones, especially symbian based ones. You mentioned the 8890. Do you know where I can find the instructions for activating the field test mode on this device?
