So I went through and removed the GSM.Handover.Noise.Factor from OpenBTS and recompiled.  As with Lin, it failed to find my transceiver after reinstalling.

I went through and did the following :

[1]  dev/openbts: autoreconf -i
[2]  dev/openbts: ./configure --with-usrp
[3]  make
[4]  cd apps/
[5]  dev/openbts/apps: ln -s ../Transceiver52M/transceiver .

OpenBTS still fails to run whether in the background or foreground.  Running it in the foreground it states that it cannot find ./transceiver and it's quitting with status 256.

Lin, can you offer me a printout of your history so I can see what you did?

Tim

Tim,
Yes, I followed the instruction in
http://openbts.org/w/index.php/RadioIntegration#USRP

I'm using USRP B210.

Lin,

Did you initially have to build .transceiver manually?  I assume you are using USRP front-ends.  It so, did you simply rebuild the link?

Tim, and Michael,

It works well now. Thanks!

I tried it just now. Commenting this line, the problem is fixed.
But now it cannot find ./transceiver. It seems I have to compile it separately.

I will try this when I get to the office in the morning and report back.

Thanks,

Hi Tim and Lin,

It seems to be an unreferenced key. Could you try commenting out this line and recompiling:

Let me know if that solves it.

Thanks,
-Michael
