  • Hey…… thanks for viewing my post. I am a mySQL db guy and really am quite new to postgreSQL. I have googled quite a bit and I keep this:

    BUILD FAILED
    /tmp/Openbravo-3.0MP8.1/build.xml:707: The following error occurred while executing this line:
    /tmp/Openbravo-3.0MP8.1/src-db/database/build-create.xml:50: The following error occurred while executing this line:
    /tmp/Openbravo-3.0MP8.1/src-db/database/build-create.xml:77: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: Ident authentication failed for user "postgres"

    I am running "not as root" while I am running "ant install.source"

    This is my pg_hba.conf:
    # TYPE  DATABASE    USER        CIDR-ADDRESS          METHOD

    # "local" is for Unix domain socket connections only
    local   all         all                               ident
    # IPv4 local connections:
    host    all         all         127.0.0.1/32          ident
    # IPv6 local connections:
    host    all         all         ::1/128               ident

    This is my Openbravo.properties
    bbdd.rdbms=POSTGRE
    bbdd.driver=org.postgresql.Driver
    bbdd.url=jdbc:postgresql://localhost:5432
    bbdd.sid=openbravo
    bbdd.systemUser=postgres
    bbdd.systemPassword=postgres
    bbdd.user=tad
    bbdd.password=tad
    bbdd.sessionConfig=select update_dateFormat('DD/MM/YYYY')

    I su'd into postgres user account and did this:
    $psql
    ALTER USER postgres WITH PASSWORD 'postgres';
    \q

    What am I doing wrong. My hair was thin, but now I'm really balding!
