The following problem appears when I tried to build ORC1.1 on IA64 (./install.sh; then make build -f Make.native): orcc -D_SGI_SOURCE -D_LANGUAGE_C -Wformat -funsigned-char -D__GNU_BUG_WORKAROUND -D_LIB_INTERNAL -D_XOPEN_SOURCE -D_XOPEN_SOURCE_EXTENDED -U__mips -D_LITTLE_ENDIAN -D__STL_USE_STD_ALLOCATORS -D_LANGUAGE_C -DLANGUAGE_C -D_LIBU -I../../clibinc -I../../clibinc/cray -I../../clibroot -I../../libcsup/include -I../include -O2 -D_MIPSEL -D_LONGLONG -D_MIPS_SZINT=32 -D_MIPS_SZPTR=64 -D_MIPS_SZLONG=64 -D_LP64 -MD -c -o exit.o ../../libu/clib/exit.c sh: orcc: command not found Why orcc appears in making? Orcc should have not been generated or installed yet. The environment of the IA64 mahcine is : [rong@itanium2 orc1.1]$ cat /proc/version Linux version 2.4.3-12smp (ro...@bo...) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85)) #1 SMP Fri Jun 8 13:06:07 EDT 2001 [rong@itanium2 orc1.1]$ gcc -v Reading specs from /usr/lib/gcc-lib/ia64-redhat-linux/2.96/specs gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.1 2.96-85) [rong@itanium2 orc1.1]$ as -v GNU assembler version 2.10.91 (ia64-redhat-linux) using BFD version 2.10.91.0.2 Any suggestion please?
