How do you do an end of input in the console window when using STDIN? "Learning Perl" suggests ctrl-Z on a win32 platform, or ctrl-z for unix. Neither seems to work for me. If I run it from the windows xp command prompt, ctrl-z and then hitting enter works.
Although HelloWorld.pl leads me to believe that ctrl-Z (the properl why to end input in Windows) should work in Open Perl IDE's console, I have never been able to get it to work. The console usually gives me enough functionality to test my scripts without that working. I'm sorry I do not have a better suggestion. Maybe someday in the future Open Perl IDE will finally be updated to properly support this.
