While I don't want to say no, outright, there is a very advanced open source
IDE driver for BeOS on BeBits. Thomas has done a really good job with it.
He is on this list. Maybe there is something that he needs a hand with?

PCI would be a very good choice, as would SCSI. I am not planning on having
SCSI support in R1, but if it happens, I won't complain too much. We are already working
on USB. And there is someone out there (not sure who) doing FireWire.
