While anything is possible, I would be very, VERY surprised if there was a bug in that part of the code. I use it every day, many times a day. It has barely changed in years. As a rule if you get a crash first thing to do is wipe everything and recompile. Crashes are quite rare these days (though stuff not working might not be!) and more often than not turn out to be a compilation issue. Looking at the log file you have provided, I cannot see any evidence of you hanging up. Can you be more specific about what you were doing? Finally, can you NOT use such a high log level? It generates a lot of "noise" making it harder to analyse. As a rule level 4 is sufficient for 99% of cases. Robert Jongbloed OPAL/OpenH323/PTLib Architect and Co-founder. Subject: Re: [Opalvoip-user] Volume and Gatekeeper problems Hi Robert Thanks for you reply. For Scenario 1 it worked. I checked out the opal trunk and compiled it, now this scario works perfectly. For Scenario 2 i tried to uncommend the SimpleCat line in opal source. Now i have a differnt error in GnuGK Log -> "H235AuthSimpleMD5 digest does not match." . I can't get this working, i also tried with MyPhone2 and this also doesn't work.... Do you have any news regarding opening 2 Video Streams in one direction using opal? We don't support UDP signalling for H.323 Scenario 2 is strange. It is not obvious to me what the problem might be. None of that code has changed in a LONG time. I am not an expert in GnuGK, but if you can figure out how to disable the CAT authentication scheme (1.2.840.113548.10.1.2.1) and see if standard MD5 checksum works then that would be good. Alternatively you can comment out the line: static PFactory<H235Authenticator>::Worker<H235AuthCAT> factoryH235AuthCAT("SimpleCAT"); in h325auth.cxx. Other things to try is older versions of the stack, say Wolf or even back to Barnard and see if they work. If I can see a change between the working and non working versions then I might be able to figure out what is going on without spending days on it. Subject: Re: [Opalvoip-user] Volume and Gatekeeper problems Thank you for your reply 1) I will try this. Thanks! So here are my 2 scenario i tried: Scenario 1 with gatekeeper config: Szenario1 - gatekeeper.ini //No Auth ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gatekkeeper: 192.168.174.128 OpenPhone 1: 192.168.174.1 Name:TestPhone1 OpenPhone 2: 192.168.174.129 Name:TestPhone2 Gatekeeper registration successfully Call from TestPhone1 ->h323:TestPhone2 = "h323:0.0.0.0" could not be reached ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Scenario 2 with gatekeeper config: Szenario2 - gatekeeper.ini //SimplePasswordAuth ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Gatekkeeper: 192.168.174.128 OpenPhone 1: 192.168.174.1 Name:TestPhone1 Password:TestPhone1 OpenPhone 2: 192.168.174.129 Name:TestPhone2 Password:TestPhone2 Gatekeeper registration failed ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also tried using MyPhone2 (from h323+ homepage). MyPhon2 works in Scenario 1, so i'm able to make a call trough the gatekeeper with MyPhone2. I also tried with OpenPhone as caller and MyPhone2 as receiver, also this works (tried both with the exact same gatekeeper config). I have attached all logfiles. The logfiles from the endpoints as well as the logfiles from the gatekeeper, also i made a capture using wireshark. Subject: [Opalvoip-user] Volume and Gatekeeper problems Hi all, I have some questions regarding the volume and gatekeeper support in openphone. 1. It seems that the volume sliders for mic & Speaker in openphone only work for the default audio devices. So when i configure an other input device, lets say the mic from a webcam, i can't adjust the volume using the volume sliders (connection->SetAudioVolume(isMicrophone, value)). Is there a way i can fix that? 2. I have some problems using a gatekeeper (Gnu GateKeeper). I have installed the gatekeeper on pc A: 192.168.1.10. I configured it to allow all connections without authentication. On pc B (IP: 192.168.1.20) i set the gatekeeper host in the openphone config to 192.168.1.10 and the username to "pcb". Open phone registers successfully to the gatekeeper. On pc C (IP: 192.168.1.30) i set the gatekeeper host in the openphone config to 192.168.1.10 and the username to "p cc". Open phone registers successfully to the gatekeeper. On both endpoints i set the gatekeeper option to "Require use" But now when i call from pc B to pc C using h323:pcc it doesn't work. Same thing if i try to call from pc C to pc B h323:pcb 3. If I setup the Gatekeeper to use simple password authentication the endpoints can't even register to the gatekeeper. Gatekeeper config: [Gatekeeper::Auth] SimplePasswordAuth=required;RRQ [SimplePasswordAuth] ;;testuser:testuser testuser=L2JnUt+O/EyeD8pleNpFgw== Best Regards macatsi ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- -- SF.Net email is Sponsored by MIX09, March 18-20, 2009 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
