Have you taken a look at Knoppix for PPC? http://lpn.rnbhq.org/hardware/powerbook-g3.shtml There are several sites if you Google Knoppix PPC, but this one looked fairly comprehensive. > I now have python 2.3.3 installed from the source. Thanks. You can determine if Zope/Python are ok by running: /opt/op/zope/bin/mkzopeinstance at the prompts answer: Directory: /opt/op/testzope Username: fred Password: fred Verify password: fred You should be returned to the shell prompt, then execute this command: /opt/op/testzope/bin/runzope & This should start up a Zope server on your host on port 8080 with an admin named 'fred' and a password of 'fred' If this works then we have a problem with TORCH specifically and can start troubleshooting from there.
