I am trying to set up a new Windows XP virtual machine to perform
nightly builds of ooRexx.
This is the very first time I have ever tried to use Windows XP Schedule
Task. I can fill out everything but whether or not a set a password for
the specified user I get an error when I try to apply the settings. Also
the task does not run even when I manually run it from the menu.
The user I specified is the only user on the system (besides the
Administrator account) and has administrative privileges. I modified the
user account so that he has no password. The error I get says that he
has no access privilege.
Any help anyone can give will be appreciated.

I've never used the task scheduler either.
But, I would not be surprised if you need to use the Administrator
account to get it to work.
I just created a task and used the Administrator account. When I
entered the correct password, the task was scheduled.
It runs for me, both when it reached the time and when I ran it manually.
The program I scheduled was the Calculator.rex example program.
* When it reached the correct time, it said it ran but I didn't see anything.
I looked at the properties of the task and the Wizard had filled in:
So, I changed rexxhide.exe to just rexx.exe
* When I ran it manually after that change, I saw the console window
open and close real fast.
So I added a say and a pull to the calculator and then saw this:
Resource file not found --> rc\CALCULATOR.RC (ERROR:2)
Please hit enter to continue
So, it seems to work find if you use the Administrator account.
The Wizard had put in start in C:\Rexx\ooRexx and the directory to
start in needs to be C:\Rexx\ooRexx\samples\oodialog
Summary: use the Administrator account and check the properties of
the task after you create it to look for things that will prevent the
task from running correctly.
