Category: Documentation Group: 3.2.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Rony G. Flatscher (orexx) Assigned to: David Ashley (wdashley) Summary: Chapter 5, a Few Bugs Initial Comment: - p. 196, - wrong subTitle "Collections that do not have set operations", please remove (all have set operations) - wrong subTitle "Collections that have set operations", please remove (all have set operations) - p. 197, 5.3.1. Wrong second sentence "This does NOT represent the inheritance tree...", please remove or define what "inheritance tree" means in this context - p. 265, code - EXPOSE in constructor contains wrongly a comma - STRING method does not EXPOSE name - p. 278, 5.4.7. The "CaselessDescendingComparator" wrong, name is: "DescendingCaselessComparator" p. 303, 5.5. The Windows Specific Classes - missing information about needed "::requires winsystm.cls" for the following classes: - MenuObject - WindowObject - p. 359, code: only runs under Windows due to DOS-path names - p. 360, 6.7.: this only defines the ooRexx "stdin" stream, which is used for standard input; everything else is the ooRexx usage of .INPUT! - p. 360, 6.8.: this only defines the ooRexx "stdout" stream, which is used for standard input; everything else is the ooRexx usage of .OUTPUT! - p. 362, 6.14.: "ATTRIBUTE directive" missing; also term "float" for such methods should be introduced here (otherwise Object's setMethod argument value "float" may not be correctly understood) - p. 362, code: - methods["a"] *WRONG*, must be a capital "A" to work! - code does not run on its own (not a meaningful example), cf. appropriate RFE with a suggested code replacement - indent code under directives P.S.: Some of the description in the setlike operations will probably need re-work once the open bugs in the area of the setlike collections themselves are addressed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=1786436&group_id=119701 |
