Category: None Group: v4.0 Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: MST (m1k1t1) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: socksend error if first word of message ends in colon Initial Comment: REXX-ooRexx_4.0.0(MT) 6.03 15 Aug 2009 WindowsNT 5.01 (XP) Beginning an email message with a word ending with a colon causes the message to appear with no text at all. Try changing the message text in testsmtp.rex to 'Error: Something here.' The email arrives, but there is no message text in it. This does not occur if the colon follows the second word, i.e. the message 'Fatal error: Something here.' will arrive. Tracing (R) in strmsock.cls displays the following: +++ "WindowsNT METHOD C:\Program Files\ooRexx\strmsock.cls" 77 *-* use arg msg >>> "Error: Something here.??" 78 *-* if self~s = -1 >>> "0" 79 *-* retc = socksend(self~s, msg) >>> "24" 80 *-* if retc = -1 >>> "0" 84 *-* else 84 *-* self~errno = '' >>> "" 85 *-* return retc -- return the number of bytes written >>> "24" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=684730&aid=2903480&group_id=119701 |
