November 5, 2007
The Rexx Language Association (RexxLA) and the Open Object Rexx Development
Team are pleased to announce the availability of Open Object Rexx (ooRexx)
version 3.2.0. ooRexx 3.2.0 is the latest open source version of IBM's
old Object REXX interpreter. It is released under the Common Public License
This version builds on the previous versions by adding a host of new builtin
classes and features. There are a very large number of fixes and enhancements
in this release that are too numerous to list here. The number of supported
platforms and operating systems is large and the source is readily available
to compile it on the platform of your choice in the event a version is not
available for your platform.
The known supported platforms are:
RedHat Linux 4/5 (i386 and PPC)
Fedora 6/7 (i386)
SUSE Linux 9/10 (i386)
Ubunti Linux 6.04/7.04
Debian Linux 4.0
Mac OSX (i386 and PPC)
Solaris 9 (i386) (to follow later)
The documentation has also been improved and reorganized. It is available in
both PDF and HTML formats.

The ooRexx Development Team would like to thank the beta testers for this
release. With their invaluable help we are able to provide a release that has
been tested not only on our test suite but on many customer's production code.
The ooRexx Development Team invites all individuals and corporations to
contribute to the ooRexx Project. There are many ways to contribute from
writing C/C++ code to administering aspects of the project. We also need
developers willing to write and maintain tests for every aspect of ooRexx.
We also need contributors to our wiki located on SourceForge. Monetary
or hardware contributions are also appreciated.
