Also, by posting every little detail/question everyone on the list gets a copy.  Putting it into the tracking system means that only the people who can/will fix it have to read it.  And of course, each one can be tracked individually which helps everyone.

You really would save a lot of time if you just opened bug reports for these sorts of things.  I get really tired of the "should I open a bug report dance".  Frankly, I will rarely even look at things like this until it is in the system.
