Bertram, I decided to download and run 2.2 using the same values as you were using and these are the results using the same hw/sw as previously shown:

----- REXXCPS 2.2 -- Measuring REXX clauses/second -----
 REXX version is: REXX-ooRexx_4.2.0(MT)_32-bit 6.04 30 Jan 2014
       System is: WindowsNT
Averaging: 1000 measures of 3000 iterations

Performance: 6458864 REXX clauses per second

Cheers,
Staffan

Hi,

Just a quick P.S.  I changed some of the input variables and . . .  (took the defaults and multiples by 100, each).

Same system as before (e.g. Dell Precision 390, Intel Q6700 2.66Ghz, 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 Ultimate x64)

Still I/O, especially disk, and the ability to do multiple things at the same time is important, IMHO.

Take care,

Subversion Kills Productivity. Get off Subversion & Make the Move to Perforce.
With Perforce, you get hassle-free workflows. Merge that actually works.
Faster operations. Version large binaries.  Built-in WAN optimization and the
freedom to use Git, Perforce or both. Make the move to Perforce.
