This enhancement request is to add IPV6 support to the RxSock functions. I would prefer it be done as a separate enhancement from the TCP/IP-related classes since I only use the functions and they are a first step before the classes can be enhanced.

I use the RxSock functions heavily to do load tests on TCP/IP server code that I work on. Currently I'm upgrading that server code to IPV6. Right now I can only use Object Rexx for testing by using an IPV4 address mapped to IPV6 on the server.

IPV6 is becoming heavily used in Asian locations since they are running out of IPV4 addresses.

If I had some guidance on how to build the Object Rexx code locally, I could probably work on this myself in my spare time - at least for the Windows 32-bit & 64-bit platforms. My home desktop is Windows 7 64-bit and I have a Windows XP 32-bit and Windows 7 32-bit VM installed on it.

This is a good enhancement request. Thanks for taking the time to open it.

We are assuming that if one of the developers decides to take the time to work on it, you will assist in testing.

Yes, that is something I would definitely like to assist in testing.
