Reference Version 3.2.0

5.5.5.5. write
text says "Reads event log records."

5.5.5.4. read

The documentation does not say what the read method returns. The example shows:

events = evl~read("FORWARDS", ,"System")
...
do i=1 to evl~Events~items
...
temp = evl~Events[i]

The problem is that there is no documented "events" method. It's an attribute method, and what gets returned from the read method is self~events.

Thus

do i=1 to Events~items
temp = Events[i]

would do the same thing. There is no explanation for why evl~events would work in the first place, and since the target of the assignment statement is a variable called events, it's even more confusing.

5.5.5.2. open

Documentation shows examples with "rc=..."
It does not say what the rc means nor does anything in the example use the rc that was referenced. It seems to mean that WMeventlog could not get a handle, but the documentation does not leave the user anything to go by if there is a bad return code.
