  • HI, have anyone an ideas why SysLoadLibrary and
SysDropLibrary is not present in REXXUTILS.

Is there any other way to do this (using other functions) ?

Not even sure what SysLoadLibrary/SysDropLibrary were intended to do. The only evidence of their existance in the code turned over from IBM is a couple of comments in the rexxutil source code.

The next release of ooRexx will have a ::PACKAGE directive that will load entire function packages at one shot.

      • Tnx Rick for the reply.

The manual states that you may use the
        RXFUNCADD.

"The RexxRegisterFunctionDll interface registers external functions that reside in a dynamic-link library. Any Rexx program can access such an external function after it is registered. It can also be registered directly from a Rexx program using the Rexx RXFUNCADD built-in function."

        Have you tried this ?

        Regards
        Guran

RXFUNCADD is there, and works...but your question was about SysLoadLibrary and SysDropLibrary.

          • I'll test further and open a new thread if i don't get the RXFUNCADD to work

            regards
