#929 Stream's arrayin quietly fails on readonly files on Linux

When using the following code on a Linux system with a text file which has the read-flag set, but not hte write-flag, no elements are read from the file, without indicating any error:

s=.stream~new("someTextFile")
arr=s~arrayIn
say arr~items -- yields 0 items, if file is readable, but not writeable

This was experienced on 32-bit Ubuntu.
