In rxapid, it states that the pid file will be /var/run/rxapi.pid I found that the value was actually /var/run/ooRexx.pid rxapid.in should be updated to reflect this change.

Just a comment here for Rick and David.

Bruce has graciously been working with me off-line to possibly get a 4.0.0 package built for the Mac. I guess maybe the correct term is OS X.

Since this isn't an area I'm real knowledgable in, should the pid file actually be rxapi.pid or ooRexx.pid?

I don't wish to criticize, but there's no reason why this work should
be taking place in private vs as part of public discussions on the
developer's list. This issue is a prime example...had it been
witnessed by a wider audience, you would have likely gotten an
immediate response without the need to open a bug report.

Well yeah I agree Rick, but hey we all make mistakes. <grin>

I did encourage Bruce to subscibe to the devel list and I think he did. But, I also had encouraged him, privately, to try and build a Mac install package.

I apologize if I'm not doing this the way that you want it done.

I added the bug report because it seems like on the regular RexxLA list people are always being asked why they haven't opened a bug report. I assumed that this was the preferred method of communicating these issues.

If you would rather have me communicate them via some other method, just let me know and I can do that.

    Yours,

    Bruce

The appropriate list for discussing any issues dealing with development is the ooRexx Developer's discussion list. Open source projects should be done in open. When things fall backing into private emails, the rest of the developer community is cut out from the conversation and there is no archive of what has been discussed available for the historical record. And, it's also likely that others in the community might know the answers to the questions under discussion.
