This post is to let everyone know that I am now helping to run www.OOoMacros.org.
Russ (avantman42) has been running the site single-handed (AFAIK) for some time and has been doing a great job. But Russ now has a number of other commitments which mean that he can't devote as much time as he would like to the site, so I have taken over primary responsibility for OOoMacros.org.
Russ is still offering valuable help and advice and remains involved with OOoMacros.org - it's his "baby" ;)
I can't stress enough that I'm not an expert on macros myself, so unfortunately can't offer help on writing macros, or helping with the macros on the site. Questions about specific macros should be directed to the author of the macro.
I've already been involved for a couple of weeks now and have added a new "Submit a Macro" page to make sure that future submissions are clearly defined, and submissions are consistent, so that I can put them in the correct place!
If you have any comments, or suggestions for the site(s either OOoMacros.org or 8daysaweek.co.uk), please let me know, and don't forget to let me have your macros :)
I have a number of other commitments too (not least development on 8daysaweek.co.uk items and website) so I'm not making any promises on timescales for uploading macros, or website changes (I don't need the pressure ;) ). I can promise that I'll give all submissions and suggestions careful attention and consideration.
If you'd like to show your appreciation for OOoMacros.org, you can donate to the project. Personally, I'd just like you to vote for OOo Issue 14007 as it's the one thing (other than charting) I'd really like to see improved in OOo Calc! If you do cast a vote for it for this reason, I'd love for you to let me know :D
