#57 ODF-when double clicked getting converted to MS office.

Soumyajit Halder

To produce the defect:
1)Take a system which has only MS office installed.
2)The System should not have Open Office 2.4 installed.
3)Install the ADD-in R5195 without checking in the options for file association for ODF documents.
4)After successful installation, double click any ODF document.

Expected Result: To open the ODF document, Windows should ask for a program to be associated with ODF document.

Actual Result: Instead of asking for a program to open the ODF document, ODF documents are by default getting associated with "ODF ADD-in for Microsoft Office". If we double click on the ODF document, it will convert the file and open in MS Office document.

Application version(s) used = Off 2003
OS version(s) used = Windows Vista
Add-In Version = V3.0(5195)

    Won't fix.

This is default Windows behavior. If you look closely you will see that (as specified) the file extension is *not* registered with MS Office.

Only the new context menu entry "Open with Microcoft xxx" has been made the default context menu action by Explorer. There is no way to influence that Explorer behavior.

Anyway, I think a user would not be irritated by that behavior. It is still possible to do an "Open with..." from the context menu.
