  • Hi, I'm trying Observation Manager  under OSX (10.6.2) and found some problem:

    1)  double-clicking on obs.command (as said in the README FILE) gives "Insufficient Access Privileges" error,  chmod ug+x do the trick but OM will however not start due to this problem:
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: de/lehmannet/om/ui/navigation/ObservationManager
        Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: de.lehmannet.om.ui.navigation.ObservationManager
        at java.net.URLClassLoader$1.run(URLClassLoader.java:200)
        at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method)
        at java.net.URLClassLoader.findClass(URLClassLoader.java:188)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:315)
        at sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader.loadClass(Launcher.java:330)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:250)
        at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(ClassLoader.java:398)
        logout

    2) It is possible to start OM from the terminal writing: java -Djava.ext.dirs=/Users/username/observationManager/lib de.lehmannet.om.ui.navigation.ObservationManager $@ but it says ERR  Sun Jan 03 14:55:15 CET 2010 -- Comast schema path not found: /Users/username/schema

    Sorry for ugly english ;-)

  • everything works fine now, obs.command just need a chmod 755
