    Hi Hans,

    I misspoke - we aren't using 0.6.0, we're using 0.4.0. 0.4.0 uses the MySQL password function which was changed in some version of MySQL as I said. However, looking at 0.6.0 it used md5() so I don't think you will have a problem going to at least 0.6.0.

    I'm not sure why I thought we were running 0.6.0 - I was going from memory.

    Sorry for the misinformation.

    Matt

    Thanks for the
    input Matt.
    Do you get a chance to find the detail of the staff login
    issue? I would appreciate it.
    I'm expecting some detail to be different. Starting
    from OpenBiblio 0.5.2:

    colum pwd in the staff table is 32 char

    hash value generated by md5()

    Helpfull attitude appreciated!

    And another positive effect from this "human memory issue": I checked our latest release, could not replicate login issue. So I'm pretty confident that no short term change is needed.
