I recently had a discussion with Tobias about Vimage NuPowr G3 performance.
G3 Cache Profiler output:
Info: PowerPC 750 (G3)
Speed: 233 MHz
Temp.: 47 C (after 3 minutes)
Version number: 0x00080202
Backside cache 512K
Pipelined synchronous, 0.5nS
Speed: 117 MHz (2:1)
Motherboard cache not present
Enable backside cache on restart (disabled)
Bus speed: 33 MHz
Speculative access status: ON
Disable speculativ access on restart (enabled)
Dynamic Power Management: ON
Enable Dynamic Power Management on restart (enabled)
"VpowerInfo 1.1.0" that came with my NuPowr upgrade shows the same
settings (CPU type, speed, clock, cache size/clock).
So I'm quite sure that my Extension is properly loaded. Since this tools
fails when it's not.
Could you please post your settings?
you do not seem to have NuPowr at all but a Vpower.
Vpower is from Vimage and NuPowr von NewerTechnologies.
I think that's also the reason why you have so much lower temperature; mine
is constantly about 80=B0C.
The only setting that differs with mine is that my cache is set to
write-back and not to write-through and because of that my l2cr is currentl=
