would love to see a switch for the DetailsPrint command (or a plugin or new command) that outputs to the windows commandline
NSIS is a GUI app and does not get a console window by default, you can work around it somewhat on XP+: http://forums.winamp.com/showpost.php?p=2303779&postcount=4 (Or search the NSIS forum for GetStdHandle)
To get perfect console handling you would have to recompile NSIS as a console application and rewrite the DetailsPrint implementation.

i'm aware of that, but i could think of several scenarios where the option for commandline output could help. be it calling several installers from one main installer or true commandline execution, i'm sure many admins would love this. personally i'm not always happy with building passive installers (silent installers that still have a gui giving feedback about status)
