First of all, many thanks for NppToR. It's a great program.

When sending a command to R using F8, it just add the code to the current line. So, if something is already written on the line in the R console, it may execute wrong code.

Suppose you have written in the R console
> MyVar
if you send x<-1
Then
>MyVarx <- 1
is executed

I think NppToR could use a strategy similar to the one used by Rgui with "update packages..."
It record the command on the current line.
Remove it.
Execute update.packages(ask='graphics')
Restore the command previously removed.

Something else (that look more like a feature request). I would really enjoy a shortcut to send a source command on the current file to R. Something like
> source (pathtomyfile)
when pressing F9 (or anything else.)

Many thanks again

I'm rejecting the bug report and converting this to a feature request for the send by source.

The bug of having something on the line is simply the behavior of the program. R does not allow an easy way to copy the line before something is pasted. I might be able to clear the line entirely, but I'm not convinced that is the desired behavior. I use the ability to cut and paste bits of code together, and at the very least do not want to lose that ability. I'll consider an option to clear the line before pasting if I get time to do it, but then again it will be a feature request.

Also the pass by source would be a feature that I would like to see. It was on my feature list at one point but got bumped for some reason or another. That I will promise that you can look forward to.

I've still been thinking about this and see no way to be able to do it within the current frame work. So I'm closing the feature request.
