If I try to Validate an XML file that’s unassociated with any schema, I go to Plugins > XML Tools > Validate now. The XML Tools ‘browse’ capability let’s me find the path of my XSD schema, and then I click 'OK' to validate against it.
BUG: If my schema is in a directory path that contains dashes, then I get an error message saying ‘unable to parse schema’, which I’ve noticed is the standard error whenever an invalid schema filepath is given.
However, if I rename my directory to remove the dashes, the schema validates my XML just fine.
Perhaps there are other ‘illegal’ characters as well which might cause problems? Whitespace is clearly not an issue, but I haven’t tried other odd characters like underscores, quotes, etc.
I'm using version 2.3.2 unicode beta4 r908 on Windows 7 32-bit. I was using 2.3.1 earlier, and that had the same bug.
(Thanks for all the great work you guys do! I love Notepad++ and all its wonderful apps, like XML Tools.)
