I've been using NP++ and Visual C++ 2010 Express side-by-side for nearly a year now, without a single hitch. Today, however, your app alerted me that version 5.9 is ready for download, so I affirmed the update and proceeded. Once 5.9 was installed however, the two (NP++ 5.9 and Visual C++ 2010 Express) refuse to run at the same time on my Dell D830 running Windows XP SP3 with 2 GB memory.\

If I invoke VC++ first, then NP++ afterwards, the two will run fine for about five minutes, then suddenly VC++ will freeze up and eventually unload. If I invoke NP++ 5.9 first, VC++ refuses to run at all. In each case, VC++ detects some sort of environment violation as soon as NP++ 5.9 starts running, and bails as quickly and gracefully as it could.

So, how do I go about rolling back to the previous version? Apparently 5.9 is not well tested with Visual Studio running at the same time.

Thanks,

How odd. I'm not quite sure, but I do believe I had both running at the same time before, without a problem. Try reinstalling VS. My money is on VS being stupid.
