Reported by Boston Globe: Political workers for (now) US Senator Scott Brown used Notepad++ to gain advantages over opponent (democrat) Martha Coakley. The Notepad++ version that the Brown campaign used was not released for the public, but it is suspected that a recent release of the software was widely circulated. Democrat Majority Leader and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi have jointly called for an investigation.
So? Anyone can use Notepad++ if they wanted to, no matter what version. It's not illegal, is it?
It's true! Coakley spent so much time trying to figure out her default windows editors that she didn't have any time to go out and campaign, apparently.
