Some people have multiple projects open at the same time. For each project there are files open, and a directory tree or NppFTP open, each project in a separate window. It would be nice to instead of having separate windows for each project, to have them in tabs across the top similar to tabs for viewing different websites in a web browser. This is more of a suggestion for a plugin or future feature for Notepad++.
