My report file is comprehensively spammed with lines such as these.
2013/03/24, 11:13:50 Error: Object not found
2013/03/24, 11:13:50 Client: Object 25:172 (type Type_104) not found.
2013/03/24, 11:13:51 Client: Object 25:167 (type Type_110) not found.
2013/03/24, 11:13:51 Client: Object 25:170 (type Type_79) not found.
I've fiddled with regular expressions with a view to using find/replace to remove all these lines, but with no success. I tried to find .[type Type]. and replacing with blank, but it never finds anything.
Does anyone have any advice?
I would suggest using the Mark tab on the find menu. Enter some suitable Find what text, ensure Bookmark line is ticked then click Mark all. Assuming the popup shows that some lines have been marked, then on use menu Search => Bookmark => Remove Bookmarked lines.
What should the Find what contain? You could set Search mode to Normal and Find what to (type Type_104), then repeat for the other numbers.
I am surprised that a wildcard search for .[type Type]. did not find anything. But that probably will not find what you want. That string searches for any character (the first dot) followed by one character which is any of those between the square braces, following by any character (the second dot).
Aha! Got it, with your help, Adrian
normal search for type Type_, bookmark them, delete all bookmarked lines... job done! Thanks mate
