I am working with config where at the end of each line is a hash thats different for each line

    access-list global line 6 extended permit ip host 10.10.10.10 any (hitcnt=0) 0xc87164de

And I want to search for "(hitcnt=0) 0xc87164de" and replace it with nothing...

I've searched these forums and every suggestion ends with "Can't find the text:"

    Please help!

  • If there are no other parenthesis in your lines, you can find and replace "\(.*" (without the quotes), replacing by nothing, in "regular expression" mode, without selecting ". matches newline".
